Height plays a vital role in a manner that it reflects the personality of a person. It increases the confidence level and is one of the top most factors when we speak about the look of a person. Though it is related with the physical appearance but it has its mental effects too. It can be said that height is a heredity gift but through various other means it can create an illusion in the mindset of people such that you appear to be taller than before.

One of the means to appear taller then before is wearing high heel shoes. Shoes that we wear comes in different varieties ranging from lace shoes, peep toe, ankle strap, wedged, mules etc. Early day’s people use to wear Flat shoes that are flat to the ground. But as the time passed, wearing fashionable apparels reached its peak. During that time shoes were considered and came in the market with new styles.

The high heels also vary in their size; it ranges from around 2-7 inches in heel size. These variations met with the requirements of various people and satisfied people with its uniqueness.

The importance of high heels can be laid down in following points:-

(b) The high heels completely change the physical appearance.
(c) It makes the calves to appear in proper shape.
(d) The heels make the gait steady and proper.
(e) The strides changes, and thus walk is maintained in a proper manner.
(f) It enhances the beauty and glorifies it.
(g) Especially it makes the women look sexy, seductive and highly appealing.
(h) It remains the center of attraction on various occasions.

Everything has its pros and cons and the same is with the high heels. Doctors consult not to wear too high heels and to take care of their foot since high heels can harm their feet. But in this fashion centric world, who cares? Each and everyone are keen to look sexy and attractive. According to me I can suggest that – shoes doesn’t damage the feet if it is of good quality and if proper care is taken.

While selecting the shoes, various confusions occur in the minds of people and at last the decision is taken crossing the dilemma layer in mind. So your decision can make or break your foot, its up to you. Select those high heels that are manageable by you. When you wear it, pain shouldn’t be at your feet and also ensure that you feel comfortable.

High heels meets the various requirements depending upon the it’s variety which includes stilettos, peep toe heels, mules, pumps, ankle straps etc. These high heels serve uniquely for unique occasions as well as have its multiple usages. For example, High heel party shoes are meant for parties but few high heels are up to the extent that you can even dance comfortably and swiftly, while wearing it.
Thus the high heels came with an up-thrust in the fashion industry and mostly got accepted amongst people, as it met their requirements. The high heels enhance the personality with its versatile feature and appear as a magic for the person wearing it. Indeed the magic of high heels has a drastic change in the lifestyle of people but care should be taken while choosing it.

For nearly a century, thousands of cocktail waitresses in Nevada (U.S.A.) have been working in high heels, 40 hours or more a week. Then, when they are outside of work, they may wear heels a few more hours. So, these cocktail waitresses are in a class similar to the “devoted high heel wearer”, who wear heels in excess of 50 hours a week because they love to. However, it should be noted that the cocktail waitresses are different because they are standing up and walking around in the heels most of the time.

Now, consider some points that are not included above :

a) The problems with high heels are much milder with mid-heels. So, the cocktail waitresses who are complaining should be very grateful for that.

b) From a fashion standpoint, high heels go best with their skimpy outfits. Mid-heels are kind of border line. Flats simply do not mesh. So, the casino policy makes sense. Heels and the rest of their outfits, make the cocktail waitresses a sight for sore eyes and makes it much more pleasurable for one to gamble in the casino, especially while losing. However, I would rate the desire to travel as #1, desire to gamble as #2, desire to see shows with show girls as #3, all ahead of the cocktail waitresses for alluring me to Nevada casinos.

c) The more pretty and sexy the cocktail waitress is, the bigger and more tips she usually gets. So, it is in their own best interest to wear heels.

d) There are rumors that the cocktail waitress job in Nevada can earn tons in tips (and in some cases, fortunes in top casinos at tables with high rollers). So, compare what they make to what the police, fire fighter, soldier, trapeze artist, and other jobs that put lives at risk get paid.

e) In regards to the issue on eliminating the closed toe, it does not work with mid-heels. It takes a slightly higher heel height (3 to 5 inch heels) to make an open toe pump or sandal look as good as a closed toe mid-heel pump with skimpy outfits. (Note that the sandals should be equipped with ankle straps. Don’t want any shoes slipping off, while carrying a tray full of beer glasses.)

f) Is this matter all due to misfit shoes? We know from various surveys that many women wear shoes that are too small. Also, not all of the cocktail waitresses are complaining. So perhaps, those experiencing problems need longer and/or wider pumps. Have they tried Easy Spirit pumps, those advertised with girls playing basketball in them? They come with toe boxes that are a bit larger than pointed toe boxes and in various widths.
